Airtel Money Kenya has introduced an exciting new campaign called “Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign” to refund Airtel Money customers’ withdrawal transaction fees as airtime.
This first-of-its-kind campaign in Kenya aims to save customers money while encouraging increased usage of Airtel Money for daily transactions.
According to Ashish Malhotra, Managing Director of Airtel Networks Kenya Limited, “The new ‘Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign’ cements our commitment to designing products and solutions that serve multiple payment needs of the user in the market. We believe that the campaign will go a long way to cater to the needs of Kenyans who rely on cash for their daily transactions, helping them stay connected while saving them money.”
Here is how the Rudishiwa Transaction Fee Campaign works
When an Airtel Money customer withdraws as little as KES 50 from any Airtel Money agent, they will receive a refund of their withdrawal transaction fee as airtime. This applies to any withdrawal charge up to the maximum daily limit of KES 250,000 per day.

For example, if a customer withdraws KES 1,000 and incurs a KES 25 withdrawal charge, they will now receive KES 25 worth of airtime from Airtel. This airtime can be used for calls, data bundles or SMS.
