After debuting on a select few Samsung devices earlier this year, Google’s Circle to Search is now expanding to several Samsung Galaxy A Series smartphones, including the Galaxy A35 and A55. A few tablets are also set to receive this feature.
Samsung’s August 2024 update, which is rolling out now, will bring Circle to Search support to these Galaxy smartphones and tablets.
This update follows Samsung’s announcement earlier this month that the feature would be extended to more Galaxy A devices and affordable tablets as well.
What is Circle to Search?
Circle to Search allows users to search for information about anything on their screen by simply drawing a circle around it or tapping on text or objects.
The feature’s primary goal is to streamline the search process, enabling users to find similar products, identify landmarks, or explore video details without leaving their current app.
Samsung Devices Getting Circle to Search
In addition to the Galaxy A35 and A55 the following devices will also be getting the update:
- Galaxy A34
- Galaxy A54
- Galaxy Quantum 4
- Galaxy S21 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE
- Galaxy Tab S9 FE+
These new additions join the ranks of several Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Z flagships that have already been equipped with Circle to Search alongside various Galaxy AI features in recent months.
Enabling Circle to Search on Your Device
To take advantage of this powerful feature, users need to ensure their device is running the latest operating system. Once updated, the Circle to Search feature may appear as a prompt, or users can manually enable it by following these steps:
- Go to Settings
- Navigate to Display
- Select Navigation bar
- Look for the Circle to Search toggle and turn it on
With these simple steps, users can unlock the full potential of Circle to Search on their Samsung device.
Harnessing the Power of Circle to Search
Using Circle to Search is remarkably straightforward. Users can access the feature by long-pressing the bottom navigation bar or holding the “Home” button for a few seconds.
Once activated, users can simply tap or circle the area on the screen they wish to search, and the AI-powered tool will quickly provide relevant results.
