Equity Bank has announced plans to retire its EazzyBanking mobile application, one of the bank’s first forays into digital banking through its fintech subsidiary, Finserve Limited.
After standing as Equity’s flagship mobile banking solution since its launch in 2016, the EazzyBanking App will officially be discontinued on March 15th, 2024.
In a notice sent to EazzyBanking App customers, Equity Bank requested all remaining users migrate to the new Equity Mobile App prior to the March 15 deadline.
Understanding the Transition
The retirement of the innovative yet aging EazzyBanking App platform is intended to make way for Equity’s more robust and feature-rich Equity Mobile App, now available for download.

The Equity Mobile App was designed entirely in-house by Finserve’s development teams to provide a modernized, user-friendly mobile banking experience meeting the demands of Equity’s expanding customer base.
While the EazzyBanking App granted customers sufficient functionality for daily transactions, changes in the mobile landscape prompted Equity to upgrade capabilities to fit evolving customer expectations around digital banking convenience, flexibility, and security.
