Infinix is reportedly developing a smartphone with a slim profile of just 6mm, which could make it the thinnest smartphone on the market in the last five years.
The title of the world’s thinnest smartphone currently belongs to the Tecno Camon 11 series. Tecno is another brand under the Transsion umbrella, which also owns Infinix.
The Tecno Camon 11 series, introduced in 2018, has held this title for several years.

To further contextualize the thinness of this new Infinix phone, the leaked images also provide a direct comparison with an iPhone Pro/Pro Max model.
The contrast in thickness is notable, especially considering that the recently launched iPhone 16 measures 7.80mm in thickness, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max is 8.25mm thick.
Design Elements
The design of this ultra-thin Infinix phone incorporates several notable elements. The back panel tapers towards the edges, creating a seamless look. A central frame connects the front and back panels, maintaining the phone’s slim profile while ensuring structural integrity.
The leaked images only show the back of the device, which bears similarities to the recently announced Infinix Hot 50 5G. The rear panel features a rectangular camera module housing three camera sensors and an LED flash, suggesting that this new phone could potentially be a Pro variant of the Hot 50 5G model.
One of the factors enabling such a slim design could be the use of silicon-carbon battery cells. Compared to traditional graphite used in lithium-ion batteries, silicon offers a higher energy density.
This allows for smaller batteries that maintain the same capacity as their larger counterparts.
While detailed specifications of the Infinix phone remain limited at this point, the circulation of live images suggests that an official announcement may be forthcoming.
If the reports prove accurate, this device could set a new benchmark for smartphone design, combining advanced technology with a sleek form factor.
