Infinix is set and ready to unveil the Infinix Hot 30 series in Kenya this coming Friday (April 7th). The Hot series is the company’s entry-level smartphone series.
The Infinix Hot 30 series was officially launched globally a few days ago and consists of the Infinix Hot 30, Hot 30i, Hot 30i NFC, and Hot 30 Free Fire.
We are note sure of whether the company will launch all 4 variations of the series but they all share some similarities.
Let’s have a look at what each model of the series has to offer.
Infinix Hot 30
The Infinix Hot 30 features a 6.78″ FHD IPS LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 270 Hz, and a peak brightness of 580 nits.
Under the hood, the phone spots a MediaTek Helio G88 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of expandable storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Moving over to the cameras, we’ve got a 50 MP rear camera with 1/2.55″ sensor size, an 8 MP selfie snapper.
Other features include 4G connectivity, dual-SIM functionality, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and it runs Android 13.
The phone is available in Racing Black, Surfing Green, and Sonic White color options.
Infinix Hot 30i & Hot 30i NFC
The Hot 30i has a 6.56″ HD IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a sampling rate of 180 Hz, and a peak brightness of 500 nits.
The Unisoc T606 SoC powers it, along with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
The Hot 30i has a 13 MP rear camera, an 8 MP front-facing shooter, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W charging.
It runs Android 12 and can be grabbed in either Mirror Black, Glacier Blue, and Diamond White colors.
The Hot 30i NFC adds NFC, as you’d imagine based on the name, but it also has twice the RAM at 8GB. The rest of the specs are identical to the Hot 30i.
Infinix Hot 30 Free Fire edition
Finally, we have the Hot 30 Free Fire edition, which essentially is a Free Fire (the video game) branded Hot 30. You get a Free Fire key ring, a special Free Fire case, and a Free Fire medal as a SIM ejection tool.
The phone also has a couple of Free Fire software tweaks such as Free Fire-themed widgets and icons, as well as wallpapers and sounds.
There’s also a special camera AR function that lets you take selfies as if you were a Free Fire character.
Infinix promises 60fps in Free Fire on average with high image quality settings, but the specs are identical to those of the regular Hot 30.
Availability & pricing
As we said earlier on, Infinix will be launching the Hot 30 series this Friday but we are not sure whether they’ll launch all 4 versions or just the regular Hot 30.
The Hot 30 will be available in all Infinix retail stores across the country and also through their official online store, XPARK.
Ahead of the launch, the brand is also running a dance challenge (check out #MuHOAT on social media) that will see the top 3 finalists go home with cash prizes at the launch event.
Prices of the Hot 30 have not yet been disclosed but we’ll update you once we have them.
