In line with Apple’s tradition of adding new iPhone colors around this time of the year, the company has introduced yellow versions of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus
The new yellow iPhones are identical in functionality and specifications to the other hues, but don’t be surprised if you start humming tunes about yellow bananas, 🙂
This isn’t the first time Apple has made the iPhone available in this color. The iPhone 5c came in a particularly bright yellow color, and the iPhone 11 was available in a paler shade.
However, until now, the modern iPhone design has not been available in that color at all, you’ve had to settle for mostly subdued tones outside of Product Red models.
Why Apple Does This
This is not a surprising strategy. In theory, a new color boosts iPhone sales in the middle of the product cycle. It also gives Apple an excuse to update Apple Watch bands.
But if you’re in the market for a phone and want something more colorful than the monochromatic options that dominate the landscape, you might not mind the new color.
Availability & Pricing
Customers in over 60 countries can pre-order the yellow iPhone 14 family starting on March 10th. The new versions will be available on March 14th alongside new silicone case colors that include a canary yellow.
They new iPhones will still cost the same, coming in at $800 for the regular iPhone 14 and $900 for the plus model.
