Samsung has officially announced that its latest Galaxy A series smartphones, expected to be the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy A35, will make their global debut on March 11.
While the South Korean tech giant hasn’t explicitly named the upcoming models, all signs point to the long-rumored Galaxy A55 and A35 mid-rangers.
According to Samsung India’s registration page, the new Galaxy A phones are slated for a March 11 launch. While the Kenyan release timeline is still uncertain, if past Galaxy A series launches are any indication, we could see the A55 and A35 hit the local market in early April.

Samsung’s teaser page has also revealed a few key details about the upcoming mid-range smartphones. One of the standout features is the new “Key Island” design, rumored to be adopted for the Galaxy A55.
This design element places the volume and power buttons on a slightly raised platform on the side, a design cue we’ve recently seen on the newly announced Galaxy A15 and A25.
Low-Light Photography Prowess
The teaser campaign highlights the low-light photography capabilities of the upcoming phones. Rumors suggest the Galaxy A55 will boast an upgraded triple rear camera setup, featuring a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP macro shooter.
The Galaxy A35 is also expected to pack a 50MP main camera.
Software Support
In a significant move, Samsung has confirmed that the new Galaxy A series phones will receive four years of Android operating system updates and five years of security patches.
This update promise matches that of the Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A54, though it falls short of the impressive seven-year update policy promised for the upcoming Galaxy S24 flagship series.
Water and Dust Resistance
Samsung’s teaser also mentions that the upcoming phones will offer “spill and slip resistance,” indicating some form of water and dust protection. If the Galaxy A54’s IP67 rating is any indication, we can expect similar water and dust resistance on the Galaxy A55.
As the March 11 launch event approaches, more details about Samsung’s latest mid-range offerings are sure to emerge. Stay tuned for pricing, availability, and a closer look at the specifications and features of the Galaxy A55 and A35.
