OnePlus had plans to release their first book-style foldable smartphone, the OnePlus Open, next month. However, they recently decided to delay the launch due to a change in display manufacturers. Interestingly, the latest leak is not directly related to the OnePlus Open. Instead, it pertains to another foldable smartphone called the OPPO Find N3. Nonetheless, rumors are suggesting that these two devices are essentially the same, tailored for different markets.
Will OnePlus Open Have The Sharpest Display?
According to Digital Chat Station, the OPPO Find N3 is expected to boast the highest pixel-density display among all foldable smartphones. The leaker suggests that the Find N3 will sport a 7.82-inch main display with a resolution of 2,268 × 2,440 and a pixel density of 426 PPI. In comparison, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a 7.6-inch inner display with a resolution of 1,812 x 2,176 and a pixel density of 373 PPI.
In simpler terms, the OPPO Find N3, also known as the OnePlus Open, will offer a larger internal display that is not only bigger but also sharper and more detailed.
The external display of the OPPO Find N3 is receiving the same treatment. It is anticipated to feature an impressive resolution of 2,484 x 1,116, surpassing the external screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 5, which has a resolution of 904 x 2,316.
Additionally, leaked information reveals the colour variations of the OnePlus Open, courtesy of tipster Max Jambor. According to him, the phone will be available in Voyage Black and Emerald Eclipse options, both of which evoke a sense of darkness. Hence, it is unlikely for OnePlus to offer vibrant and sunny colour options with this model.
The launch of these two phones is expected soon, although specific details regarding availability and release have not yet been announced.
