OpenAI, the company behind the viral ChatGPT bot, is poised to unveil its GPT Store, an online marketplace for customized GPT chatbots, next week.
In an email sent to GPT developers this week, OpenAI outlined the criteria and process for listing tailored text-generating bots prior to the store’s expected launch next week.
What is the GPT Store?
The GPT Store will allow developers to publish and openly share customizable chatbots called GPTs, built using OpenAI’s text-generating AI models. Originally announced at last year’s DevDay conference, the store’s launch was postponed following leadership shakeups at OpenAI in December.

Developing GPTs specifically for inclusion requires verifying profiles and publishing bots publicly to qualify.
