The A18 launch comes shortly after OPPO also released the A58, A78, and A98 models in late October 2023, which are higher-priced offerings packed with more impressive specs. The star of those releases is the A78, retailing at Ksh 35,000.
Display and Design
The A18 sports a 6.56-inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1612 pixel resolution. The screen offers a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and transitions.
The phone comes in Glowing Blue and Glowing Black color options, both featuring OPPO’s unique Glow design with a shimmery, fingerprint resistant dual matte finish.
Performance and Battery
An MediaTek Helio G85 chip powers performance along with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This configuration delivers reliable daily use for most tasks.

A large 5,000mAh battery keeps the phone powered on for over 12 hours of moderate to heavy use per charge. 18W wired charging allows for quick top ups when low.
Camera Capabilities
On the back of the OPPO A18 is an 8MP main camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor for portrait shots with bokeh effects. The front selfie camera comes in at 5MP. While not impressive on paper, OPPO’s software optimizations provide good quality for the price.

Interested buyers can purchase the OPPO A18 for Ksh 20,000 at OPPO’s retail stores countrywide or via e-commerce platforms like Jumia. It’s an affordable option that doesn’t compromise too heavily on core features.
