OPPO Kenya has unveiled its latest smartphone, the OPPO A78, designed to deliver seamless performance and reliability.
The phone boasts an immersive 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with silky smooth 90Hz refresh rate for a fantastic visual experience when gaming or streaming videos. Adding to the entertainment is a set of dual stereo speakers that promise surround sound audio.
Overview of OPPO A78
The OPPO A78 features a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate for a smooth visual experience. It is powered by the Snapdragon 680 chipset and comes with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage.
The phone packs a large 5,000mAh battery and supports insanely fast 67W SUPERVOOC flash charging that can charge the device fully in just 44 minutes.
The OPPO A78 sports a dual rear camera setup comprising of a 50MP main camera. On the front is a 8MP selfie camera. The phone runs ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 and has dual stereo speakers for an immersive audio experience. It comes in two color options – Aqua Green and Mist Black.
OPPO A58
Next in the line-up is the OPPO A58 which shares largely the same design and hardware as the OPPO A78, including the 5,000mAh battery.
However, it comes with slightly toned down 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging. It has a dual camera setup on the back featuring a 13MP main sensor. The A58 will be available in Glowing Black and Dazzling Green color options.

OPPO A98
The most premium of the three is the OPPO A98 5G which comes with support for 5G networks. It has a slightly larger 6.56-inch FHD+ LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
The A98 houses a 5000mAh battery with 67W SUPERVOOC fast charging and comes with a dual rear camera comprising of a 48MP primary sensor. It will be sold in Cool Black and Dreamy Blue colors.
All three phones run ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 out of the box. The new version of ColorOS enhances privacy and performance with features like screen translate, auto-pixelation of screenshots, and a private safe.

The phones are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 695 chipsets which offer reliable performance whether multi-tasking, gaming or using camera-intensive apps. Combined with ample RAM and storage, the phones are designed to keep running smoothly even after years of use.
Availability and Pricing
The OPPO A58 has been priced at KES 29,999, the OPPO A78 at KES 34,999 while the 5G-enabled A98 will retail at KES 45,999 in Kenya. The phones are available for purchase across OPPO stores in the country as well as e-commerce platforms like Jumia and Kilimall.
