Chinese tech giant OPPO has unveiled its latest foldable smartphones – the Find N3 and Find N3 Flip – at a global launch event. The new phones aim to push the boundaries of foldable device innovation with major improvements to displays, camera, performance, software and design over their predecessors.
Revolutionary Inner and Outer Displays on Find N3
The OPPO Find N3 features two displays – a 6.3-inch outer AMOLED screen with 1080p resolution that operates as a regular smartphone, and a larger inner 7.8-inch AMOLED screen with 2K resolution that provides an immersive tablet-like experience when unfolded.
Both the inner and outer screens on the Find N3 have a pixel density of over 425 ppi, making them the sharpest displays ever seen on a foldable phone. They can reach an eye-searing peak brightness of 2800 nits to ensure visibility under direct sunlight.
OPPO has implemented LTPO technology on the Find N3 enabling the screens to dynamically adjust their refresh rate from 1-120Hz based on the content. This results in smooth scrolling, animations and gameplay without draining battery life.
The Find N3’s foldable inner screen has minimal crease due to a self-healing film layer that helps even out scratches and scuffs from everyday use. Three powerful stereo speakers offer immersive audio in both landscape and portrait orientations.
Uncompromised Design with Military-Grade Durability
Despite packing a larger second-gen Flexion Hinge, OPPO has managed to design the Find N3 in a very slim and lightweight chassis – measuring just 11.7mm thick when closed and weighing 239g.
The Find N3 exudes premium aesthetics with its axisymmetric design, curved corners and camera housing inspired by the Find X6 series. The phone will be offered in vegan leather and glass back options.
According to OPPO, the Find N3 is the first phone to pass TUV Rheinland’s stringent test of withstanding over 1 million folds. Its ingress protection rating of IPX4 also makes it splash resistant.
Pro-Grade Camera System with DSLR-Level Optics
The Find N3 truly revolutionizes photography on a foldable with its triple camera array that includes a 48MP main, 48MP ultrawide and 64MP telephoto lens.
The main 48MP camera powered by Sony’s cutting-edge IMX989 sensor and features Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) for blur-free images and videos even in low light conditions.
The 48MP ultrawide camera provides an expansive perspective for landscapes, architecture and group photos. It can also shoot stunning macro shots with subjects as close as 4cm thanks to Autofocus.
The 64MP telephoto lens offers 5x hybrid zoom and up to 30x digital zoom through a periscope mechanism. It has an aperture of f/2.6 letting more light in for brighter zoomed shots.

Hasselblad tuning enhances colors and contrast in portraits clicked through the main and tele cameras. There are also specialized Hasselblad shooting modes.
Next-Gen Productivity with Boundless View
The Find N3 ships with OPPO’s latest ColorOS 13 software based on Android 13. The UI brings useful productivity features like Boundless View that allow seamless multitasking across apps on the tablet-sized inner display.
Using Boundless View, you can run three full-screen tall apps simultaneously and easily switch between them. There’s also a Global Taskbar providing quick access to recent apps and files.
Flagship Performance Powered by Cutting-Edge Silicon
The OPPO Find N3 is a performance monster powered by Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset built on TSMC’s 4nm process. With a high-performance CPU, GPU and Hexagon processor, the phone delivers elite-level speed and efficiency.

You get up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM for effortless multitasking and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. The 4,800 mAh battery lasts over a day of use and supports insanely fast 67W SUPERVOOC charging.
Find N3 Flip Ushers in a New Era for Flip Phones
OPPO’s other new foldable – the Find N3 Flip – brings several firsts to the flip phone category. It’s the first with a flagship triple camera system consisting of 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide and 32MP 2x telephoto lenses.
The telephoto shooter with its optical zoom capabilities can capture stunning portraits. Using FlexForm mode, you can conveniently click high-quality selfies with the rear cameras by bending the phone halfway.
The Find N3 Flip flaunts a 6.8-inch foldable inner AMOLED display and a much wider 3.26-inch cover screen. The cover display now supports third-party apps for at-a-glance information.
For durability, OPPO says the Find N3 Flip passes 600,000 folds in internal testing. Power comes from MediaTek’s cutting-edge Dimensity 9200 SoC. There is also speedy 44W SUPERVOOC fast charging.
Global Launch Likely in Early 2023
OPPO is yet to reveal availability and pricing details for the Find N3 and Find N3 Flip. The phones will likely hit the China market first followed by other regions in early 2023.
The new foldables will take on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 that were launched last August. With big upgrades across the board, OPPO’s offerings should pose serious competition to Samsung’s best foldable phones.
