The upgrade comes shortly after Safaricom increased speeds for its fibre-to-home products. This move is likely a response to the growing popularity of Starlink in Kenya, pushing Safaricom to offer more competitive solutions.

Businesses signing up for 5G for Business before 31 December 2024 will receive a 25% discount on all 5G plans. This promotion is expected to attract SMEs looking for cost-effective ways to improve their digital infrastructure.
