Earlier this week, Samsung officially announced the rollout of its Android 14 update to the newly released Galaxy S23 series. This update comes in the form of One UI 6.0, Samsung’s latest skin overlay that delivers both platform improvements from Google’s Android 14 as well as Samsung’s own updates. The update includes exciting new camera features, updated emoji, and much more.
For now, the update is exclusive to the Galaxy S23 lineup as it begins rolling out. But Samsung has confirmed over 20 additional Galaxy devices that will receive the One UI 6.0 update with Android 14 in the coming months.
What’s Next for Samsung’s One UI 6.0/Android 14 Rollout?
According to Samsung’s announcement, the next wave of devices set to get Android 14 and One UI 6.0 will begin with flagship models released in 2020 and newer. This includes foldable phones as well as select A-series devices.
The initial list of devices confirmed to receive the update includes:
- Galaxy S23, S22, S21, and S20 series
- Galaxy Note 20 series
- Galaxy Z Fold 5, 4, 3, and 2
- Galaxy Z Flip 5, 4, 3, and 5G
- Galaxy A54, A53, A34, and A33
- Galaxy M54, M53, M34, and M33
Surprisingly, the list also includes the Galaxy S20 and Note 20 lines, which were expected to be excluded based on Samsung’s previous 3-year update policy. Also included are the Z Flip 5G and Fold 2 foldables.
The quote below is a footnote on Samsung’s blog post and refers to a new camera feature which requires One UI 6.0 or higher, meaning that the devices listed would need to be getting the update.
Available on Galaxy S23 series, S22 series, S21 series, S20 series, Note20 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Z Fold3, Z Flip3, Z Fold2, Z Flip 5G and Z Flip LTE, A54, A53, A34, A33, M54, M53, M34, M33 devices operating on One UI 6.0 or above.
This implies these devices will indeed receive the latest Android 14 update.
What to Expect for the Wider Android 14 Rollout
While this covers Samsung’s initial Android 14 rollout, the list is far from complete. Given Samsung’s commitment to four years of major OS updates, we can expect many more Galaxy phones and tablets to get One UI 6.0 down the road.

With Google introducing major improvements like extended security updates and streamlined notifications, Android 14 promises to be one of the platform’s most impactful updates yet. Samsung’s One UI 6.0 aims to capitalize on these new features while also enhancing the experience specifically for Galaxy users.
So if you own a recent high-end Samsung phone, an Android 14 update is likely in your future. Keep an eye out for more announcements as the rollout expands in the coming weeks.
