Cybersecurity leader Sophos has announced the launch of its new Sophos AP6 Series Wi-Fi 6 access points to support hybrid work environments. The AP6 models deliver enterprise-grade connectivity and remote management capabilities for organizations embracing hybrid workforce arrangements.
The new access points add to Sophos’ growing secure access portfolio alongside its firewall and switch offerings. The unified infrastructure provides consolidated security and management for partners through the Sophos Central platform.
Built for Speed and Performance
The Sophos AP6 Series includes the AP6 420E, AP6 840, AP6 840E and outdoor AP6 420X models. The access points are equipped with high-speed 2.5Gb Ethernet interfaces. This enables enhanced performance by eliminating 1Gb bottlenecks between the APs and latest multi-Gigabit Sophos switches.
The Wi-Fi 6E supported AP6 420E and 840E models can also utilize the uncongested 6 GHz band. This delivers ultra-low latency wireless connectivity for modern devices. Together, the speed advancements ensure optimal experience for employees and customers alike as hybrid work continues to gain momentum.
Secure Cloud-based Management
Sophos APs can be conveniently managed in the cloud-based Sophos Central platform used to administer the vendor’s entire product portfolio. This allows partners and MSPs to oversee all customer deployments and perform tasks like monitoring alerts, tracking licenses and managing upcoming renewals from a unified interface.
