Now that two seasons of the action packed series are complete, you might be wondering when the Mandalorian Season 3 is going to drop.
The Mandalorian has been out now for nearly two years now and has become one of Disney’s biggest hits.
The series has even been nominated twice for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The Mandalorian’s freshman season lasted from November to December of 2019, followed by a sophomore season that began a year later.
The series’ Season 2 finale famously featured the CGI-assisted return of Star Wars vet Mark Hamill, as a post-ROTJ Luke Skywalker, who came looking for Grogu to properly train the Force-sensitive rugrat.
Now that two seasons of the action packed series are complete, you might be wondering when the third season is going to drop.
Here’s what we know about Mandalorian Season 3 so far.
When Is The Mandalorian Season 3 Going To Debut?
Disney has confirmed that the long awaited series will debut on March 1, 2023. The show is delayed by a bit as the previous release window was expected to be in February 2023.
Nevertheless, the March release date is now confirmed, and Disney Plus will likely not change it.

Why The Mandalorian Season 3 Is Releasing So Long After Season 2
The long wait for The Mandalorian season 3 is due to Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s involvement in creating other shows for Disney+.
The creators were instrumental in creating The Book of Boba Fett, which became known as The Mandalorian season 2.5 due to its strong connection to the main series.
Making the Boba Fett-focused series took precedence over The Mandalorian season 3, allowing it to premiere on Disney+ in late 2021.
The Book of Boba Fett helped compensate for the show’s absence, especially since one episode was entirely dedicated to Mando.
What To Expect From The Mandalorian Season 3?
Disney+ released the first trailer for the third season of the Mandalorian in September 2022. From the footage Mando takes on a more fatherly role towards the little green kid, Grogu.
Besides the trailer, we got some clues from the recent Disney Plus spin-off series, The Book of Boba Fett. Temuera Morrison plays the role of Boba Fett, a bounty hunter who also wears Mandalorian armor, and Ming-Na Wen plays his partner Fennec Shand.
