Uber has announced an exciting new addition to its ‘Go Anywhere’ series of travel experiences with the launch of Uber Safari in Cape Town, South Africa.
This unique service, available from October 4 to January 25, offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for travelers and locals alike to experience Africa’s iconic wildlife in a seamless, luxurious, and affordable manner.
The Uber Safari service will give riders the chance to witness the “Big Five” – lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, and rhinos – at the renowned Aquila Private Game Reserve.
Experience the Big Five with Ease
In partnership with Aquila Private Game Reserve, one of South Africa’s top wildlife conservancies, Uber Safari provides a hassle-free option for a day trip that combines wildlife exploration with Uber’s hallmark convenience.
Riders can book the trip exclusively through the Uber app and enjoy a luxurious safari experience. The wildlife adventure begins with a pickup in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle, allowing passengers to relax as they journey out of Cape Town and into the wild.
Upon arrival, guests are treated to a welcome toast and lunch before embarking on a three-hour game drive.
A Safari Adventure with Conservation at Heart
As part of the experience, guests will be guided by experienced game rangers and field guides who will maximize opportunities to see the Big Five in their natural habitat.
After the safari, guests will have time to explore the picturesque grounds of Aquila before heading back to Cape Town.
The partnership with Aquila also means that every Uber Safari booking contributes to ongoing conservation efforts, supporting the protection of endangered species and preserving South Africa’s biodiversity.
A Commitment to Seamless Travel
Frans Hiemstra, Regional General Manager of Uber in the Middle East and Africa, expressed excitement about the launch of Uber Safari, describing it as one of the most adventurous offerings yet in Uber’s ‘Go Anywhere’ series.
He explained that the use of Uber’s Reserve technology makes it easier than ever for travelers to book bucket-list experiences such as this safari.

An Easy and Luxurious Way to Experience Wildlife
Johan van Schalkwyk, Commercial Officer of Aquila Collection, emphasized the significance of this partnership: “Uber Safari allows folks to book and enjoy an unforgettable day at Aquila where they’ll get to experience the Big Five in an easy and luxurious way. It’s the perfect combination of modern convenience and natural beauty, all while supporting wildlife conservation efforts.”
