For the longest time, you could only use your WhatsApp account on an Android tablet by first delinking your number from your phone first and then verifying it with the tablet, which was a tiresome process.
Linking your existing WhatsApp account from your Android phone to continue using it on your tablet was not possible.
Well, we’ve got some good news for all the tablet users out there. The Meta owned company is currently testing a feature that lets you link your existing WhatsApp account to the platform’s tablet app.
The feature is currently available to beta users on Android only. If you have the beta version 2.22.24.27 of the app, you should see the “Have an Android tablet” banner.
If you haven’t signed up for WhatsApp’s beta program, worry not, we’ve got you covered, you can download the beta version of the updated tablet app from APKMirror.
Installation Process To Use Your WhatsApp Account On Your Android Tablet
Once you have the updated WhatsApp app on your Android tablet (through the APK or the beta testing program), you’ll be asked to scan a QR code on the tablet app with your phone app.
It’s essentially the same process of linking a device as a Windows or macOS PC.
WhatsApp will transfer your chats to the tablet app, and you can continue the conversations from your phone app to your Android tablet.
Given that WhatsApp is testing the new feature in beta, it won’t be long before the Meta-owned company rolls it out widely to all users.
If you don’t want to wait for the official launch, you can just install the APK from APKmirror.
