WhatsApp, the popular messaging and voice/video calling app, is working on a new integration that will make it easier for Android users to access their call history.
According to recent reports, WhatsApp is developing a feature that will integrate its call logs with the Google Phone app’s call log.
Seamless Call Log Integration
Currently, WhatsApp VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) calls do not appear in the Phone app’s call log on Android devices. This means that users have to access their WhatsApp call history separately within the app. However, this is set to change with the upcoming integration.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) has spotted the integration in action, revealing that WhatsApp calls will appear in the Google Phone app’s call log with a distinct “WhatsApp” tag.

This feature will make it easier for users to differentiate between WhatsApp VoIP calls and regular phone calls, providing a more seamless experience.
