Xiaomi is well known to have a successful lineup of wearable devices in the form of the Mi Band series. Every year Xiaomi release a new member of the Mi Band series and this year is no different with the company set to launch the next gen Mi Band 7 on the 24th of May.
On May 20, Xiaomi shared a teaser poster confirming that the Mi Band 7 will be launching on the 24th of May in China alongside the Redmi Note11T series. From the poster, we were able to have a look at some of the specs that the Mi Band 7 will come with as well as some design pictures.
Design wise, the Mi Band 7 adopts the now familiar pill shaped design of its predecessors but with a bigger 1.62 Amoled screen. The screen size is slightly larger than that of the outgoing Mi Band 6 which has a 1.56 inch Amoled screen. The larger 1.62 screen should make it easier for one to read notifications on the band than on past models. It will be interesting to see how the larger screen affects the battery life of the band.
The teaser poster also indicates that Xiaomi will launch a Standard Edition and NFC Edition of the Mi Band 7. Again, this will most likely be market dependent. Other than that, all the usual Mi Band features should be onboard, including step, sleep, heart rate, SpO2, and general fitness tracking.
