Last year’s Asus Zenfone 9 may have been small in size, but it packed a powerful punch that left us thoroughly impressed. As news about the upcoming generation of Asus’ flagship phones begins to surface, we can’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation.
After all, if the Zenfone 9 was any indication of what’s to come, we’re in for a treat with the next iteration. So let’s dive into the latest news and rumors surrounding Asus’ upcoming Asus Zenfone 10.
Asus Zenfone 10 specs and features.
Technical specifications of the Asus Zenfone 10 are yet to be confirmed by the company but there have been some substantial leaks that give us a look at what the Zenfone 10 has to offer.
Processing power
Starting off with the processor, GSMArena reported on a model thought to be the Zenfone 10 that recently appeared on a benchmark site.
From the report, the Asus device ran Qualcomm’s latest SoC, the 8 Gen 2 and was accompanied by 16GB of RAM. This doesn’t come as a surprise as the Zenfone lineup is Asus’ flagship lineup.
However, the device from the report could be the top configuration as the Zenfone 9 offered several memory and storage options, with the baseline being 8GB/128GB and the top model sporting 16GB/256GB.
Other reports have said that the latter could be increased to 16GB/512GB this time around.
Display specs
According to a leak from Android Authority the Zenfone 10 could come with a bigger 6.3 inch display. This is big jump from the Zenfone 9’s dinky 5.9-inch screen.
This might not seat well with fans of the compact Zenfone 9 as the chassis of the Asus Zenfone 10 will get bigger to accommodate the bigger display.
It’s going to be interesting to see how fans will receive the Zenfone 10 if these display rumors turn out to be true as the phone would be losing one of the best features of the Zenfone 9 – its small form factor.
The report also points out that the display will refresh at 120Hz, so that might soften things out.
Better cameras
One area where last year’s Zenfone 9 lagged behind was in the camera department but according to a report from the Android Police this might change with this year’s Zenfone 10.
According to the report the 50MP main shooter from the Zenfone 9 could be replaced with a 200MP module.
The report gives are no details on the aperture or sensor, but any upgrade would be a good thing and could give the new Zenfone a better chance to compete against its rivals.
A bigger battery
According to various sources, the upcoming phone is expected to have a larger and more efficient battery, which is certainly welcome news for consumers.
The Zenfone 9’s 4300mAh battery is said to be replaced by a 5000mAh cell with 67W fast charging, meaning that not only will it offer longer battery life, but it will also recharge at an impressive speed.
