Rigorous Reliability Testing

Before moving from the production line to a user’s pocket, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are put through a series of rigorous reliability tests to ensure they can stand the test of time for any lifestyle. These tests include:

  • Drop tests: The devices are dropped from various heights onto different surfaces to simulate real-world conditions.
  • Bend tests: The devices are bent to simulate the force of being placed in a pocket or bag.
  • Dust and water resistance tests: The devices are exposed to dust and water to ensure they can withstand harsh environments.

Durable Design

In addition to rigorous reliability testing, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 feature a number of design features that make them more durable than previous foldable phones. These features include:

  • A shock dispersion layer on the main screen that helps to protect it from impact.
  • A redesigned back that makes the display more solid.
  • IPX8 water resistance, which means the devices can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
  • Armor Aluminium frames that provide added strength.
  • Corning® Gorilla® Glass Victus® 2 on both the Flex Window and back cover.
  • A new Flex Hinge that features a dual rail structure that helps to diffuse external impacts.

  • 100% recycled paper for the packaging box.

In addition to being more durable, the Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 also come with five years of security updates and four generations of OS upgrades. This helps to ensure that these devices will remain up-to-date and secure for years to come.

The Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 are the most durable foldable phones yet. With their rigorous reliability testing, durable design, and recycled materials, these devices are built to last.
