Streaming giant, Netflix, is reducing their subscription prices in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa beginning February 21.

This will apply to all subscription tiers including Mobile, Basic, Standard and Premium.

Netflix new charges in Kenya and Subsahara Africa

Netflix, in an announcement today said, “Today, we’re updating the pricing of our plans to Mobile Ksh 200, Basic Ksh 300, Standard Ksh 700, and Premium Ksh1 100 in Kenya to deliver all your favourite TV shows and movies at an even better value! Our goal is simple: to offer a wide variety of quality shows and films, curated for you. So whatever your mood or tastes, you can find something that’s right to watch.”

New and Existing Members

The change in prices will roll out to existing subscribers over the coming weeks and will be notified by email at least 30 days before the next billing.

Meanwhile, for new subscribers, the new price plan will take effect immediately.

Netflix Kenya Subscription Packages in 2023.

1. Netflix Mobile Package – Ksh 200

The mobile plan provides you with unlimited movies and TV shows that you can watch on your phone or tablet.

2. Netflix Basic Package – Ksh 300

The basic plan provides you with unlimited movies and TV shows of HD quality. You can watch them on either your laptop, TV, phone, or tablet.

However, you can only watch on one screen at a time. It is the best package for you if you will only be watching from one device at a time.

3. Netflix Standard Package – Ksh 700

At Ksh. 700, you will get unlimited TV shows and movies from your laptop, Smart TV, tablet or even phone. You can watch on two screens at a go. It means that you can share Netflix account with your friend, relative or any family member.

This is cost-effective as you will only contribute half of the monthly charge.

4. Premium Package – Ksh 1,100

If you have a UHD screen or wish to share the costs with four people, then this is the best plan for you. UHD pictures are extra clear and will make sure you see all the movies to the smallest details.

The account can be accessed on any gadget ranging from laptop, desktop, and Smart TV among others.
