Oppo, one of the leading Android manufacturers in the world, is all set to add a new phone to it’s Reno8 Series. Oppo Kenya will be unveiling the Oppo Reno8 T series next week.

The Reno8 T series will come in 4G and 5G versions and both versions will be powered by different chipsets.

Oppo says that this new addition to the Reno8 family brings about a couple of improvements in the camera department with its ultra-clear imaging system.

The Oppo Reno8T series is also set to offer a stylish design, powerful performance, and an all-around smooth experience to its users.

Oppo Reno8 T Series Design

Oppo Reno phones have always been beautiful and we can confirm that the Reno8 T series will be no different. The OPPO Reno 8T series will have a fiberglass leather design, giving the phone that premium in hand feel.

Oppo has also ditched the plastic edging in favor of a leather stitching pattern for the Reno8 T series. This should also add to the premium feel and look of the phone.

Oppo Reno8 T series

The company has made no compromises when it comes to the display. The 5G variant of the Oppo Reno8 T series will sport a 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved OLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 93 percent screen-to-body ratio, and 360Hz touch sampling rate.

The 4G variant will however feature a 6.43-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with up to 90Hz refresh rate.

Oppo Reno8 T Series Performance

Under the hood, the 5G variant will be powered by the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset while the 4G variant will be powered by the Helio G99 processor.

Both variants of the Reno8 T series will come with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. These performance features will be plenty capable to handle your day to day tasks, just don’t expect to play Call of Duty Mobile at the very best settings.

The Cameras

Both variants of the series will come equipped with a triple rear camera set up. The 5G variant will feature a 108-megapixel primary rear camera while the 4G variant will feature a 100-megapixel sensor.

Both devices will feature a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.  The 5G variant is also accompanied by a 2MP microscope(40x zoom) and 2MP monochrome lens.

Both phone also feature the industry’s first Orbit Light found inside the camera module., It will be interesting to see how the camera performance on these two phones will be like.

Battery & Charging Speeds

The OPPO Reno8 T 5G will be powered by a 4800mAh battery with support for 67W fast-wired charging while the 4G version will have a bigger 5000mAh battery that supports 33W charging.

Pricing & Launch Details

The new line of the Reno8 T series is scheduled to be unveiled in Nairobi on Thursday, February 16th, 2023 with details about the pricing yet to be confirmed.

In preparation for the launch, OPPO revealed Willy Paul, Nadia Mukami and Nameless as the brand ambassadors for the Reno 8T series.

“We are thrilled to have Willy Paul, Nameless, and Nadia Mukami onboard for our Reno8 T campaign,” said Fredrique Achieng, PR manager, OPPO Kenya.

“These talented stars have constantly invoked a sense of excitement and reaching for greater heights in their respective careers. This resonates well with OPPO and with the new OPPO Reno8 T, we are giving our users a leveled-up experience with the phone. We can’t wait for consumers to experience it.”

We will be sharing details about the pricing and availability of the phones once they are made available in our subsequent articles.
