Xiaomi is expected to launch it’s next series of flagships in a couple of weeks. This is what the company has traditionally done in the past. Currently, Xiaomi’s flagship phones includes the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and Xiaomi 12X and the 12 Ultra.
Following this naming scheme, Xiaomi 13 series was the anticipated upcoming Xiaomi flagship series. However, new leaks suggest that Xiaomi will probably ditch the Xiaomi 13 series and launch the Xiaomi 14 series instead.
Similarly, the Xiaomi 14 series leaks also reveal a few of the specs of the Xiaomi 14 series.
Key Specifications
An image of a carton of the Xiaomi 14’s retail boxes is now being circulated on Weibo. In addition, another image circulating on Weibo mentions the key specifications of the device. The image mentions the “Xiaomi 14” and its “2211133C” model number.
The image reveals that the device is running on the MIUI 14.0.2.0-based Android 13 OS and has the Android security patch for October month. Under the hood it’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and 12 GB of RAM.
The authenticity of the above images could not be confirmed. Hence, it is advisable to wait for newer reports to see whether Xiaomi’s next flagship phones will be the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro.
However, there is a possibility that Xiaomi may skip the number “13” for its flagship phones since the number 13 is considered to be a bad omen in some countries.
It is likely that Xiaomi will confirm the launch date of its next flagship phones in the coming week. The lineup is expected to feature two devices, one with a compact form factor and a 6.26-inch display and another with a 6.7-inch screen.
Both devices are expected to run the forthcoming MIUI 14. A recent report said that the company has already started testing the two devices internally in Asian markets. This suggests that these devices may be coming to the global market soon.
